Pre-Arrival Checklist

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARRIVE AT THE LOUISVILLE MEGA CAVERN AT LEAST 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE.

This will allow sufficient time for student’s to exit the bus, use the restroom, and load up on the tram.

Before leaving school...

It is important that each student bring a jacket. The temperature is 58 degrees.


Please fill out the attendance form with this packet and have it ready to give to the cashier in the gift shop upon arrival.

Please have your total amount due, in the form of one payment.


If you are running late, please call the gift shop at (502) 855-6342.

Arrival...

ALL buses are asked to park next to the pavilion. A member of our staff will meet you outside to assist you.

Student’s should then be seated at the pavilion until the lead teacher has completed the check-in process in the gift shop.

Once the check-in process is complete, student’s will either proceed to the benches located in the gift shop so that each student will have the opportunity to use the restroom or student’s will be taken directly to the tram loading area. A mega cavern employee will let you know which one.

Shopping should be done once your underground adventure is complete. In the back of this planner are a few of the more popular and reasonable items in our gift shop.

Your mega guide will come and greet your class at the benches when it is time for your underground adventure to start. Have fun and enjoy your visit to the Louisville Mega Cavern!
